In the TV movie Charming Christmas, the parents of Meredith Rossman (Julie Benz) are worried about their daughter. She’s smart and beautiful and caring but she’s so dedicated to the family business — Rossman’s Department Store — that she doesn’t make any time for fun or romance. To get Meredith into the Christmas spirit, they dupe her into playing Mrs. Claus at the store. The parental plot works. Meredith has a great time and a lot of that has to do with the guy playing Mr. Claus.

Nick, aka Mr. Claus, is portrayed by David Sutcliffe. The Canadian-born actor is best known for his roles on TNT’s new drama Proof (Dr. Len Barliss) with Jennifer Beals, the Canadian cop drama Cracked (Detective Aidan Black), Private Practice (Officer Kevin Nelson), and Gilmore Girls (Christopher Hayden). Sutcliffe is currently filming Milton’s Secret with Michelle Rodriguez and Donald Sutherland. Charming Christmas premieres on The Hallmark Channel on Sunday, November 8 at 8pm.
