On the Crazy Ex-Girlfriend episode, “My First Thanksgiving With Josh,” while Rebecca Bunch (Rachel Bloom) tries to impress Josh Chan’s (Vincent Rodriguez III) parents on Thanksgiving with a song and dance, Greg Serrano (Santino Fontana) tries to find a way to care for his dad and pursue his own dreams.
Greg’s dad, Marco Serrano, is portrayed by Robin Thomas. He’s appeared on many TV shows over the decades — from Cagney & Lacey and Fame to Bones and Nip/Tuck. Thomas is best known for his recurring roles on Who’s the Boss? (Geoffrey Wells), Matlock (Prosecutor Burton Hawkins), Thirtysomething (Dr. Bob Kramer), Party of Five (Mr. Marshall Thompson), and Murphy Brown (Jake Lowenstein), among others. He’s also recognized for his roles in the films The Banger Sisters (Susan Sarandon’s husband Raymond Kingsley) and Summer School (Vice Principal Phil Gills). Thomas is currently filming an episode of the Full House reboot series, Fuller House. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend airs Mondays at 8pm on CW.
