On the Bones episode “The Senator in the Street Sweeper,” Brennan and Booth investigate the murder of a US senator who was found shredded in a street sweeper. They try to get answers out of fellow senator and majority whip Hayley Winters (Brenda Strong) and the victim’s chief of staff Eric Morales (Nicholas Gonzalez). It’s not easy getting answers out of DC insiders. So the comic relief provided by the two sanitation workers who find the body is welcome.

The sanitation workers are portrayed by Sal Vulcano and James Murray – two of the four practical jokers from the hidden-camera TV show Impractical Jokers. The other two are Joe Gatto and Brian “Q” Quinn. They all went to high school together in Staten Island and then formed the sketch comedy troupe, The Tenderloins. On Impractical Jokers, which airs Thursdays at 10pm on truTV, they go to great, creative lengths to embarrass each other in public. P.S. New York fans can see them live at Radio City Music Hall on January 30 and 31, 2016. Bones airs Thursdays at 8pm on FOX.
