The Phoenix Suns (4-4) got back to .500 with a win over the injury-hit Clippers. (Chris Paul didn’t play, nor JJ Reddick.) The Suns shot a tremendous 53% from the field and 46.7% from 3-point territory, firing up 30 shots from beyond the arc. Thirty 3-point attempts is about what the league leading Golden State Warriors (29.9) average. The Suns have been averaging 37% shooting on 25.4 3-point attempts a game.
Brandon Knight went wild, scoring 37 and going 6-of-10 from 3-point territory. (Who didn’t miss Chris Paul? BK is a good answer.) Eric Bledsoe put up a Russell Westbrook-like stat line with 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. You get 63 points from your starting backcourt, you tend to win games.
