We rely on our phones for a lot of complex things, whether it’s using GPS to prevent us from getting lost, taking high-res photos, or even checking the weather. However, one of the modern phone’s most basic function — the alarm clock — is causing major trouble for iPhone users. Due to an iOS 9.1 update, those who downloaded it overnight apparently weren’t aware that the iPhone would automatically restart and consequently reset the alarm. This inevitably caused many late arrivals to work and school.
Although mobile phones and digital alarm clocks are more common these days, programmable alarm clocks reportedly date back to the 15th century, as mentioned in this article from Chrono24. With these recent mishaps to new technology, it could well be that older equipment comes back into vogue… provided it can make phone calls and take selfies of course.
