The life of Dan Maurer started to change seven years ago. That’s when his scrotum started growing uncontrollably. For years, he said doctors told him that he just needed to lose weight. But despite losing weight, his scrotum continued to grow to 80 pounds. After watching the TLC special The Man With the 132lb. Scrotum featuring Wesley Warren, Jr., Maurer realized he had the same condition, scrotal lymphedema.

In 2014, Maurer had the mass successfully removed during a 14-hour surgery at the University of California, Irvine. According to the New York Daily News, Maurer “had some stomach fat removed during the surgery as well, and is now 150 pounds lighter.” The Man with the 80-lb.
