Since Amber Laura joined the cast, LHHH fans have questioned her sexual identity. At the season’s start when VH1 posted “Who Is Amber Laura?” on its official Facebook page, many of the hundreds of comments have speculated about her gender ambiguity. Destinee Toliver wrote “Looks like a man.” Umishura Gee agreed, “She’s a guy.” Tomeka Justice wrote one word “Transgender.” Keesha Warren explained her frustration with the show: “Ever since Caitlyn came out as a transgender the media is trying too force this ish on us. I don’t have a problem with nobody’s sexual preference. Damn let it marinate. What does love and Hip hop have to do with transgenders. Put those kind of shows on HBO, Showtime, etc.” Love & Hip Hop Hollywood airs Mondays at 8pm on VH1. Fans will be watching.
