Ashton Sachs is the 20-year-old who went on a shooting rampage in his parents’ home in Orange Country in February 2014. He killed his parents, Andra and Brad Sachs, in their bed. He shot his 8-year-old brother Landon leaving him paralyzed, and barely missed his 17-year-old sister Alexis. When arrested, Ashton told detectives he had “just a lot of problems.”

Ashton Sachs is currently awaiting trail which is scheduled for March 2016. If convicted of the charges – two counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder – he will be eligible for the death penalty. Prosecutors have not announced if they will seek the death penalty. 48 Hours will air its interviews with Andra Sachs’ sister and business partner in a special episode, “Shadow of Death,” on October 10 at 10pm on CBS.
