Poor Kelly Osbourne meant to say gold toilets — that’s what Donald Trump has in some of his fancier hotels. If she’d just said gold toilets it would have made her comments on The View, widely perceived as racist, more clear. For the record all Osbourne said in trying to put Donald Trump in his place or race was: “if you kick every Latino out of this country then who’s going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?” Oooh, wait, that came out wrong, I didn’t mean… well you know how it went: Osbourne walked it back as best she could and Whoopi Goldberg stuck up for her. (Whoopi was last seen sticking up for Bill Cosby, but that’s another story.)
The joyful Joel McHale on The Soup takes aim at Kelly Osbourne mainly by replaying her scene. (And Whoopi’s.) McHale also provided a helpful translation: “No, what I meant was there are some jobs that upper class people who tend to be white won’t do — and that’s what Mexicans are for.”
