Scott Kazmir was born in Houston, Texas and now the MLB player is returning home as he was just traded to the Houston Astros. The Oakland A’s traded the 31-year-old left-handed pitcher for two minor leaguers, catcher Jacob Nottingham and righty pitcher Daniel Mengden.

After the trade was announced, Kazmir received a nice farewell from A’s players like Josh Reddick (“enjoy being home”) and a warm welcome from his new teammates including Dallas Keuchel (“lefty discrimination no longer!!). Kazmir replied to Keuchel via Tweeter: “I’ll start growing out the beard now! In the mean time, I can grow a mean stache.”
