Mary Schmucker of Return to Amish is many things: she’s an Amish woman, a wife, mother, reality TV star, and more recently a cookbook author and owner of a bed and breakfast. She’s had a lot on her plate this season, especially with the Amish Church shunning her after attending the “English” wedding of her son Andrew, who has since gone to jail.

No wonder why Mary is taking a break this summer. On her Facebook page, she wrote: “I want everyone to know the month of August I will shut down no orders if you mail them they will stay there until September… thank you.” She’s referring to orders for her cookbooks, which are sold for $15 (including postage, US only).
