The Spurs are looking ever more like an All-Star team after adding LaMarcus Aldridge and David West to a lineup that’s just one season removed from its last NBA title. Not only that, they’ll try to make room on the roster for second-year man Kyle Anderson, who was just named MVP of the Las Vegas Summer League while playing for Spurs assistant (and summer league head coach) Becky Hammon.
The Spurs do lots of things well, but on offense what the Spurs do best is spread the floor. Shooters are welcome — and guys like Danny Green, Matt Bonner and Patty Mills have had 9-course banquets some nights courtesy of the Spurs attack and kick offense. (They’re salivating over Aldridge in the post.) Now another famous shooter’s salivary glands are working double-time: Jimmer Fredette just inked a training camp deal to see if he can be one of those guys who suddenly looks like a star because he’s in San Antonio.
