The LA Clippers just played a dramatic scene stolen right from the script of a Real Housewives reality show. Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, billionaire owner Steve Ballmer and players Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, Paul Pierce and more staged an intervention at the home of 26-year-old center DeAndre Jordan, convincing him to say with the Clippers rather than take his talents to Dallas where $80 million was waiting.
The deal in Dallas seemed done, nothing to do but wait for the salary caps to be set and then sign it. Rumors abounded that Jordan was tired of being barked at by floor general Chris Paul, that he wanted out from under Paul’s martial law. But DeAndre Jordan — like so many fickle, emotional housewives on Bravo — really just needed love! That’s why Paul came to the house — to show DeAndre some love. Griffin even live tweeted the intervention too, a total Real Housewives move. Don’t be surprised if you see these Clippers do a group appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live next. Hey, it’s Hollywood. And DeAndre Jordan is staying put.
