Kaitlyn Bristowe was born and raised in the small town of Leduc, Alberta in Canada (population 24,279). She moved to Vancouver after winning a dance scholarship. Kaitlyn went on to appear in the music video “It’s a Love Song” by The Buried Life and to compete on The Bachelor (Season 19, Chris Soules) and now she’s The Bachelorette (Season 11).

Before Kaitlyn makes her final choice as The Bachelorette (July 27) she will introduce the two contenders, Shawn Booth and Nick Viall, to her family. Kaitlyn has one older sister, Hailey Jane, who is a hair stylist in LeDuc and mother of four. Their parents, Leslie Hipkin and Mike Bristowe, divorced many years ago — but they will appear together on the show. Note Leslie’s posture — like Kaitlyn, she used to dance, too. She was a ballerina. The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8pm on ABC.
