The former Comedy Central TV show BattleBots has arrived on prime time TV at ABC. The premise hasn’t changed much – remote-controlled bots with spinning blades and combustion engines battle it out until one crashes and/or conks out. To keep the audience at home excited, there are a number of colorful hosts doing commentary — and judges including Jessica Chobot.

Chobot is currently host of Nerdist News for Nerdist.com. She was also host of IGN Strategize and Weekly Wood. The 37-year-old first gained attention in the gaming industry when she provocatively posed for a photo licking the Sony PSP in 2005. Now she’s host of her own podcast called, Bizarre States, which is “dedicated to the weird and supernatural.” Chobot is married to fellow host, Blair Herter of G4tv. They have a two-year old boy named Emerson. BattleBots airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
