Fewer people should be described as “Derek Jeter’s girlfriend” — it’s hardly a distinction. But that’s one fact about Hannah Davis of the popular ‘Hannah and Her Horse‘ DirecTV ads. Hannah is, currently anyway, Derek Jeter’s girlfriend. She’s also enjoying terrific success in the comedic promos starring her, her bathing suit and her horse.

The 2015 Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover model (see, she’s not just Derek Jeter’s girlfriend) replaced Rob Lowe as the face — um, body? — of DirecTV. (Lowe’s ads were deemed misleading and forced off the air.) Hannah Davis belongs in a swimsuit: the 25-year-old was born in Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Before she started talking to her white horse for DirecTV, she was the Genie in an earlier ad campaign for the company. She’s modeled for everyone including Ralph Lauren and Victoria’s Secret. Word is she’s a pretty good tennis player, too.
