The political drama set in the Middle East, Tyrant, is back for Season 2. Bassam “Barry” Al-Fayeed (Adam Rayner) left his native land, a fictional country called Abbudin, to pursue a “normal” life in America. He succeeded. In California, Barry works as a pediatrician. He married a blond-haired, blue-eyed American woman and they have two American kids. But when Barry returns to Abbudin for a nephew’s wedding, his father – the long term dictator of Abbudin – dies and a revolution begins. After a failed coup, Barry is put in jail. His power-hungry, corrupt brother Jamal (Ashraf Barhom) who never left Abbudin, must decide between letting Barry rot in jail or executing him. Luckily, Barry’s American wife Molly Al-Fayeed is there to try to free Barry.
