After three months of being married to Frank Rodriguez, 35-year-old Angelina Rodriguez convinced her new husband to agree to a $250,000 life insurance policy. After he signed his name, she tried to kill him three times. She succeeded on September 9, 2000. She spiked the former Navy man’s Gatorade with antifreeze. All of this has been proven in court but Angelina hasn’t admitted to guilt. “I don’t have remorse for a murder I didn’t do,” she said. She said Frank drank the antifreeze on his own. (Note: Angelina told a friend about her plan to kill Frank for the money and then tried to have that friend/witness killed before testifying against her.)

Witnesses at Angelina’s murder trial also testified about the 1993 death of her 13-month-old infant daughter. (She was married to someone else at the time.) “Medical records indicated that Rodriquez broke a pacifier and pushed part of it into her baby’s throat to suffocate her.” The mother of the dead child received a $710,000 settlement from the pacifier manufacturer. In 2010, Angelina Rodriguez was sentenced to death. She is now sitting on California’s Death Row.
