BattleBots is back, and this time on prime time TV. The former Comedy Central show is moving to ABC. Not much has changed – the show will continue to feature fights between remote-controlled robots and profile the humans who make them. Whichever team wins gets the coveted Golden Nut.
Behind BattleBot’s Team Whyachi is a family from Westar, Wisconsin, The Ewerts. Clint Ewert, a local engineer, said the family was watching the show back in 2001 when he turned to his father and said, “we can beat these guys.” The Ewerts created “Warrior Clan” which will go up against robots made by NASA and MIT engineers. BattleBots airs Sundays at 9pm on ABC.
