Lifetime’s two-night miniseries The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe will delve into the sex symbol’s private life, which of course includes her three marriages. She was first married at the age of 16 to Jimmy Dougherty. Her second was to baseball star Joe DiMaggio. The third was playwright Arthur Miller. (They all ended in divorce.)

In the TV series, DiMaggio is portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan. He was most recently seen in the TV miniseries Texas Rising on The History Channel. And you’ll see him next in the sci-fi series Extant with Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry. Morgan is also known for his roles on Grey’s Anatomy (Denny Duquette) and Supernatural (John Winchester).
