Lifetime’s original TV movie Cleveland Abduction tells the true story of the three women who were held captive, raped and abused, by the evil Ariel Castro for 11 years in a house in Cleveland. The protagonist in the movie is Michelle Knight; she is portrayed by Taryn Manning (Orange Is the New Black, Hustle & Flow). Castro is portrayed by Raymond Cruz (Breaking Bad).
One of the three women was Amanda Berry, who became pregnant with Castro’s child while held prisoner. Berry is portrayed by Samantha Droke who’s best known for her TV roles on The Secret Life of the American Teenager (Robin), Poor Paul (Bonnie), and Eastwick (Stephie). Cleveland Abduction premieres on Lifetime on May 2 at 8pm.
