On the new Mark Burnett-produced game show 500 Questions, contestants try to answer a series of rapid-fire questions. The show will run for seven consecutive nights beginning May 20 (8pm on ABC). An attorney and a neuroscientist will be the first two contestants to stand side-by-side. If one gets three questions wrong in a row, he/she is eliminated and another contestant comes on. More rules here.
The host of 500 Questions is CNN journalist Richard Quest. The Englishman is best known for his daily show Quest Means Business, and as the host of the monthly program CNN Business Traveller. The former BBC reporter once turned down an opportunity to join Al Jazeera English news channel, the English language version of al-Jazeera, in 2006 “on the grounds that being gay and Jewish might not be suitable.” 500 Questions premieres on ABC on May 28, 8pm.
