Robert and Raymond Delgado are 27-year-old twins from Monett, Missouri. They work the same job and “do virtually everything together.” Robert is the one who suggested that they try to lose weight together. Raymond said, “I take my hat off to my brother…I didn’t feel like I needed to lose any weight. He convinced me that it was the smart thing to do for our health.” Robert and Raymond each weigh almost 400 pounds.
The former high-school basketball players will be featured the TV weight loss show Extreme Weight Loss. Trainers Chris and Heidi Powell will take them to the University of Colorado’s Anschutz Health and Wellness Center. And the young men get an inspirational visit by two of their favorite LA Lakers players Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash. The show will reveal how the brothers got to be so heavy. At the age of 13, their mother was sent to prison, and their father left. The brother stuck together and helped raised their younger sisters. The fifth season of Extreme Weight Loss premieres Tuesday at 8pm on ABC.
