Actress Natalie Portman has been cast as Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in the biopic, On The Basis of Sex. Marielle Heller (The Diary of a Teenage Girl) is in talks to direct.
According to Yahoo Movies, the script “follows the travails of Ginsburg as she faced numerous obstacles to her fight for equal rights throughout her career.” Ginsberg was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1993 by President Bill Clinton. She is the first Jewish female justice. Portman, born in Israel, is Jewish, too. Justice Ginsburg is 5’1”. Portman is 5’3”.
