Rainn Wilson has good timing. Although his new TV show Backstrom has been pulled after one season, his new book will be published in November. The Bassoon King – My Life in Art, Faith and Idiocy is chock full of stories dating back to his days as a nerdy bassoonist in high school to landing the role of Dwight Schrute on The Office.
Wilson wrote in a statement: “I always thought it would be a book a little bit more like Game of Thrones but I found it a lot easier to tell stories about being a total loser and climbing my way up the Amway pyramid of acting than telling stories about dragons and kingdoms and dwarves and whatnot.” The book features a foreward written by Dwight Schrute.
