Phaedra Parks is a busy woman. You’d think being a lawyer, a reality TV star on Real Housewives of Atlanta and the mother of two little boys is enough, but not for Phaedra. In the aftermath of her husband Apollo Nida being sent to prison for seven years, Phaedra hasn’t been sitting at home sulking. She’s been speaking at a number of events, attending the First Lady Luncheon at the White House–and she’s getting more involved with the non-profit organization Mothers of Black Boys.
During the most recent Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion, Andy Cohen asked Phaedra if she had been physically abused by Apollo. She took a pregnant pause and said very calmly, “I don’t think I want to discuss that with you.” Is she keeping that part of her life private because she’s writing a memoir? It’s been less than two years since her first book, Secrets of the Southern Belle: How to Be Nice, Work Hard, Look Pretty, Have Fun, and Never Have an Off Moment. Maybe it’s time for Phaedra to admit she’s had an off moment here and there. Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
