Phil Jackson is a surprisingly avid Tweeter. Despite running the 2014-15 Knicks even deeper into the ground than they already were, Jackson still isn’t shy about talking his own brand of merde on social media. Jackson recently aimed his barbed zen-ity at teams that like to shoot 3-pointers, implying that it was an ineffective NBA strategy (see below).
Maybe that’s why Jackson let the Knicks second-best scorer, J.R. Smith, walk out the door for little in return? Because Smith was so effective at shooting 3s that Jackson didn’t want him? (Another strange note: Jackson acolyte Steve Kerr has the league best Golden State Warriors hoisting 3-pointers constantly.) Anyway Jackson didn’t tweet anything about J.R. Smith’s performance in the Cavaliers Game One win in Atlanta last night. Smith had eight 3s and 28 points in the Cavaliers victory .
NBA analysts give me some diagnostics on how 3pt oriented teams are faring this playoffs…seriously, how’s it goink?
