Illya Marchenko of Ukraine beat Israel’s Amir Weintraub 7-6(2) 6-2. Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka beat Jan Mertel (CZE) 6-4 6-3. Marco Trugelliti of Argentina advanced beating Boy Westerhof (NED) 7-5 6-2.
32 players on the men’s side compete to qualify for the main draw in the 2015 French Open and 24 women will compete for a spot. Brazilian Teliana Pereira is the first seed among the women. Chung Hyeon of South Korea is the top seed in the men’s qualifying.
