Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Agustin Rodriguez told Marca.com that goal scoring phenom Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid after this season. “I am certain that Casillas and Cristiano Ronaldo are going to leave at the end of the season. We’ll see as much in the news that comes out in Wednesday’s papers,” Rodriguez said. Why such a significant departure would be revealed as early as Wednesday was not stated.
Ronaldo has seemed unhappy on the pitch lately, despite leading La Liga in scoring. He was visibly pissed recently when a teammate outhustled him to score a goal that would have put him two up on his nearest Pichichi Trophy rival, Lionel Messi. (The Pichichi is awarded to the leading scorer.) Rodriguez last stopped a shot for a Madrid side in 1990 after a long career. His authority on the Ronaldo’s decision isn’t assured.
