Actress Andie MacDowell (Cedar Grove, Groundhog Day, St. Elmo’s Fire) is at the Cannes Film Festival as a spokesmodel for cosmetics giant L’Oreal. At Cannes she was asked about her two adult daughters who are emerging actresses. Her eldest, Rainey Qualley, was recently in the last season of Mad Men. And Margaret Qualley has a role in the HBO show The Leftovers.
MacDowell said of her daughters: “I try to stay out of their way; they’re really independent.” She added, ” I think what I’ve taught them they’ve really taken. They have really good work ethics. I have a really good work ethic. I’m on time, I’m appreciative, I give one hundred percent and I don’t complain.”
