Jon Ryan, the current punter for the Seattle Seahawks, is competing on the seventh season of American Ninja Warrior. He’s been to two Super Bowls in a row and has a championship ring to prove it. But when it comes to ANW, he says, “I don’t know what I’m doing.” The Bob Ryan Scholarship Fund hopes he figures it out soon. If Ryan wins the grand prize, $500,000 of it goes to the organization.
If you need another, non-football related reason to like Ryan, he’s engaged to standup comedian Sarah Colonna. She was a regular on the comedy/talk show Chelsea Lately. Her second best-selling book Has Anyone Seen My Pants? was published in March 2015. American Ninja Warrior airs Mondays at 8pm on NBC.
