Two-time NBA champion Kenny “The Jet” Smith (Houston Rockets) has made a nice career for himself as a TV basketball analyst on Inside the NBA on TNT. He sits solidly between professional sports announcer Ernie Johnson and the unpredictable Charles Barkley. Now Smith is revealing his personal side on TV with a reality show called Meet the Smiths on TBS.
Smith is married to The Price Is Right model Gwen Osborne. They have five children. The oldest are 20-year-old R&B singer Kayla Brianna, followed by Monique and KJ. The youngest are Malloy, 7, and daughter London who is two. As befits the reality show format, the kids have big aspirations for careers in music, sports and entertainment. (London, not yet.) While Kenny and Gwen have conflicting parenting styles, Common Sense Media says Meet the Smiths is family friendly. “There are mild disagreements and silly children’s references to being ‘sexy’ but nothing to really worry about.” Meet the Smiths airs Fridays at 9pm on TBS.
