The sister of Hollywood and Broadway actor Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, Finding Neverland), Karen Grammer, was kidnapped and killed in 1975. The man convicted and sentenced to life in prison, Freddie Glenn, recently came up for parole. Grammer addressed the parole board. He said “that while he understood that Freddie Glenn felt remorse for the crimes, he didn’t believe he deserved to be released from prison.”
Grammer told Vanity Fair: “I believe the gift of life and freedom he took from my sister precludes him from ever being allowed to enjoy that gift for himself. He took her future from her with no regard for her whatsoever. He assumed he had a right to do so. He assumed she was his property, and that the precious gift God gave her was his to take.”
