Who Is Aziza on ‘The Dovekeepers’?

The TV mini-series The Dovekeepers is based on Alice Hoffman’s bestselling historical novel about three women who were forced out of Jerusalem by the Romans and kept in a fortress at Masada, a mountain in the Judean desert. Circa 70 C.E. The story focuses on three women at Masada who fight to survive while working together as dovekeepers. One of them is Aziza, “a warrior’s daughter, raised as a boy, a fearless rider and an expert marksman who finds passion with a fellow soldier.”

Aziza is portrayed by Kathryn Prescott. The British actress is only 23 years old but has an impressive resume. She’s best known for her roles as Emily Fitch on Skins, Penelope on Reign, and she currently stars as Carter Stevens on MTV’s Finding Carter. Btw, while Prescott’s Aziza tends to the doves in biblical times, her other character Carter gets kidnapped again on Finding Carter, on March 31.
