Horror savant Stephen King doesn’t scare easily–he’d never finish any of his books if he did. So when King thinks something is scary you take him at his word. King just saw Guillermo del Toro’s hotly anticipated Crimson Peak. King’s thoughts? “F%ck*ng Terrifying.” Now that’s a f’ing blurb you hang on a movie.
King also says Crimson Peak is “gorgeous,” which is a nice way to be terrified–surrounded by gorgeousness. “Crimson Peak electrified me in the same way Sam Rami’s EVIL DEAD electrified me when I saw it for the first time way back in the day,” King writes. Wow. King’s son Joe Hill, another great writer, piled on, tweeting that Crimson Peak is the most “beautiful of all horror films.” Crimson Peak is scheduled for a fall release.
Was treated to a screening of Guillermo del Toro’s new movie, CRIMSON PEAK, this weekend. Gorgeous and just fucking terrifying.
