Former Real Housewives star–and Kelsey Grammer ex–Camille Grammer is the National Chair of the Foundation For Womens’s Cancer. The 46-year-old quit the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills just before she started the battle for her life against endometrial cancer. Grammer had surgery in 2013. She told People last week that she’s “doing really well.”
Though Grammer is thriving, she’s not ready to become a full-time real housewife again. She’s got bigger obligations. Grammer does still make the occasional cameo on the show–she’s in the Housewives orbit mostly because of her closeness with good pal Kyle Richards, who still factors strongly in the RHOBH formula. Grammer’s cancer has been in remission for a year. She’s smart enough to know–especially due to her role with the foundation–that the battle is ongoing. She’s busy promoting awareness and education, including crucial Survivors Courses, all over the country. Grammer lends the organization a vital and authentic voice: she knows the territory.
