Because of the Internet, we get to see things that usually transpire in isolation–police camera footage, say, or how they make McNuggets. Things that happen anyway, but which we now have a window on. But there are some things that happen only because the Internet exists–without a place to post them, why bother?
This half-naked man’s self-made mint bomb experiment clearly falls into the latter category. To test (in a very personal way) the kid-beloved rumor that Mentos combined with Coke will produce an explosion, he covers himself with Mentos and climbs into a 50 gallon bathtub filled with Coke Zero. (Warning: it ends with a smile.) Reactions went from anger at the waste of perfectly good Coke, to giant yawns, to Wilford870’s “Why so many dislikes? I thought it was funny.” Warning #2: you will not be able to get back the 58 seconds you use watching this. It’ll be gone–poof–forever. Like the other 1.1 million people who’ve watched it.
