50 Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson hosted Saturday Night Live and her Hollywood parents, Melanie Griffith (Working Girl) and Don Johnson (Miami Vice), were in the audience. During Dakota’s monologue the 25-year-old mentioned that 26 years ago, her mother hosted the show. Dakota told the story of how, right after the show, Don Johnson proposed to Melanie Griffith (for the second time) and nine months later Dakota was born.
Dakota said, “So I must have been conceived that night after the show, or even during the show. Isn’t that right you guys?” The SNL cameras panned to Dakota’s parents – who are rarely seen in public together – as they jokingly shielded their faces in embarrassment. Melanie mouthed, “Yes, that’s right.”
