The 15th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge, where the hale and crazy toss themselves into Lake Michigan, does a lot of good. The giant fundraiser raised over $1 million for Special Olympics Chicago on Sunday.
This year actor and Windy City native Vince Vaughn braved the waves. Vaughn, who’s getting some attention recently for his conservative positions, sure didn’t take one at the lake’s edge. Used to playing the cool guy, from Swingers to Wedding Crashers, he jumped right in. (Hey, he could be doing his movie star thing on some island somewhere instead.) It’s an awfully cold way to be cool. Temperatures were below freezing all day in Chicago. Vaughn’s new movie, Unfinished Business, is out on March 6.
