Actress Helena Bonham Carter stars as the Fairy Godmother in the new Disney movie Cinderella. At the blue carpet premiere in London, she revealed that she was worried about it being cliché and really boring. “Because Cinderella is a story that’s been told a hundred times and everyone knows what’s going to happen. But having seen it I’m amazed and it does work – the story is such a classic and was meant to be retold. And also he’s very clever Ken.”
Ken is director Kenneth Branagh, who had an affair with Helena Bonham Carter while he was married to Emma Thompson. The affair ended his marriage. Branagh is now married to Lindsay Brunnock. Thompson is married to actor Greg Wise, and Bonham Carter just separated from her other former director/partner Tim Burton.
