Nate Ruess is the lead singer of the band FUN. While the band is taking a break, he’s headed to NBC studios to work as a key advisor on The Voice. “I’m super excited and always happy to lend whatever knowledge I have to other vocalists,” he told BuzzFeed Music. “Plus I’ve heard nothing but great things about Blake, Pharrell, Christina, and the guy with the tattoos.”
The funny 33-year-old from Iowa was recently invited to perform on Brian Wilson’s album No Pier Pressure. The legendary Wilson, a member of the Beach Boys, said Ruess’ voice reminded him of his dead brother and former bandmate Carl Wilson’s voice. Brian Wilson and Nate Ruess sing the song “Saturday Night” together on Wilson’s No Pier Pressure, which will be released April 7, 2015.
