American figure skater and Olympic Bronze medalist Ashley Wagner competed at the World Championships in Shanghai. The free skate will air in the US on March 28 (8pm ET on NBC). With other American skaters–Gracie Gold and Polina Edmunds–Wagner competed against Russia’s Elizaveta Tuktamysheva (who took first place), Elena Radionova (third), and Japan’s Satoko Miyahara (second).
Wagner came in eleventh but on Twitter she was #1. During the competition, Ashley Wagner started the hashtag #RedLipstickForAshley (her signature look; she is a CoverGirl) and fans took photos of themselves wearing the scarlet shade on their smiling lips. Ashley was touched. She blew a red-lipped kiss to all her fans (see photo above).
