Jon Stewart’s soon-to-be-empty seat is like a title belt. People want that thing. Even the WWE’s fierce fighting machine Seth Rollins wants a go at The Daily Show. On WWE’s Raw, the shy and retiring Rollins said “Right now, I am the most talented performer in the entire world. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. Hell, if I wanted, I could become president. Or I could take over as host of The Daily Show for Jon Stewart and make that thing actually watchable.”
Stewart might be moving out of the spotlight, but not yet. He came back with some swagger, laying down a hilarious challenge to Rollins. (One commenter said Stewart “gives a better promo then Roman Reigns!”) Stewart says he’s “160 pounds of dynamite.” That’s a different weight class than the 217-pound Rollins is in. But as talented performers go, Stewart’s currently in the lead, if you count by money anyway. He’s made about $80 million doing his thing so far. Rollins is playing catch up there.
