Power drills are super helpful around the house. That is, unless you don’t know when to stop. Often, a handy person can keep their finger on the trigger a second too long and crack drywalls, splinter wood or strip screws. Black & Decker’s latest cordless drill is equipped with the company’s new AutoSense technology that can detect when a screw is flush in place. It will shut off even if your finger is still on the trigger.
It’s not perfect. Coolthings.com reports the AutoSense Drill “will, occasionally, stop before a driving job is done. In that case, just release and press the trigger again to resume operation until it finishes.” Easy enough. The Black & Decker 20V MAX Drill/Driver with AutoSense™ Technology is available for $74.
