Photos of Sofia Vergara’s teen wedding to her childhood sweetheart have emerged. The Modern Family star wed Jose Luis Gonzalez in her hometown of Barranquillla, Columbia on Christmas Day when Vergara was 18 years old. She wore a dramatic, long sleeved wedding dress with satin gloves and a long vail. One year after the wedding, she and “Joe” had a son, Manolo. One year later, Vergara and Gonzalez split.
Vergara’s son Manolo, who is now 22 years old, recently made a Father’s Day video for his dad. It’s a montage of videos of Joe riding fast motorcycles, windsurfing, jumping out of planes and DJing at clubs. It also includes Sofia. “Thanks for being a great friend to my mom,” Manolo says in the video.
