Cosmetics icon Bobbi Brown is the editor-in-chief of Yahoo! Beauty. The founder of a multi-million dollar cosmetics company with a vested interest in seeing everyone buy Bobbi Brown products, Brown’s role at Yahoo requires her to graciously suffer pitches for other people’s beauty stuff. At least actress Jennifer Garner was nice about it, even while implying that Brown’s stuff is nowhere near as good as Neutrogena!
Brown’s recent interview with Garner was a lovefest. The two women have a lot in common – including each being the mother of three children. Brown says of Garner, “Jennifer is the real deal – kind, funny, really down-to-earth, and all about family.” But it is a beauty site. Readers come for beauty tips. When Brown asks Garner how she looks so beautiful even in nude makeup, how she maintains that natural style, Garner is quick to list her favorite products: Healthy Skin Glow Sheers, Hydro Boost Gel, and Rapid Tone Repair Moisturizer – all from Neutrogena. Garner is a well-paid spokesperson for Neutrogena. She gets a reported $1 million a year. If Brown wished, she might pay Garner $1.5 million? Ben Affleck won’t know the difference in her skin tone.
