Sometimes the happy man is the lonely man. Austin Ward is that lonely happy man. Of the 43 experts making pre-game predictions at ESPN, only Ward chose Ohio State to defeat Alabama. The other college football prognosticators were as befuddled by the Buckeyes as the Crimson Tide was. As of today, Ward likes Oregon in the championship on January 12. ESPN expert analysts Andrea Adelson, David Hale, Craig Haubert, Brock Huard, Tom Luginbill, Booger McFarland, Ted Miller, Greg Ostendorf, Mitch Sherman, Phil Steele and Andre Ware got both the Sugar Bowl and the Rose Bowl winners wrong.
