Grammy Award winning musician Alicia Keys just gave birth to her second son with husband Swizz Beats. They gave the baby boy a biblical name, Genesis. When she posted the news on Instagram, she added the hashtag #blessings. So, what are Keys’ religious beliefs?
When asked if she is religious, Keys said: “I would call it spirituality because I think religion gets very sticky. I think it’s beautiful to have a belief in something and that’s where religion comes in… But for me it’s definitely spirituality in the sense of having integrity and certain morals I stand by.” The God Blog asked Keys what she would say to atheists. Keys said, “I personally don’t believe that there’s not a God. How can there not be a God?” She went on to say, “Every great idea comes from God.”
