Actress Lindsay Lohan and her younger brother, Michael Lohan Jr., were hit with a $60 million lawsuit. Due to a temporary restraining order, they are prohibited from promoting their social shopping app Vigme, a social commerce app closely resembling an app called Spotted Friend that “lets users peek into the virtual closets of celebrities and purchase wardrobe items.”
The lawsuit was filed by Spotted Friend, which claims the Lohans agreed last year to become part of the company and were responsible for getting Spotted Friend on national TV, and “cajoling other celebrities like Kim Kardashian to use the shopping tool via their Twitter feeds.” The Lohans are accused of taking “sensitive trade secrets” from the company and using them to develop the competing company, Vigme.
