Over the last two weeks, Poison front man Bret Michaels has had to have surgery on his kidneys. He is no stranger to the hospital. He had an appendectomy a few years ago, and a brain hemorrhage, on top of having diabetes. Against medical direction, Bret Michaels tried to perform at a charity event in Champaign, Illinois on Thursday. But on the way there, as Poison guitarist Pete Evick explained via Bret’s Facebook page: “he was forced to stop and seek more medical attention….Against his own wishes we were forced to postpone the show until Sunday.”
Bret is still not 100 percent, but as Pete reports: “there are no plans to postpone or reschedule any more shows this year. While he [Bret] was in dire pain, he still played an amazing show to an enormous crowd in Vegas a few days ago. We will see you guys this weekend in Florida.”
